Police responded to several calls about a pedestrian-involved crash on Railroad Avenue just before 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, Rockport Police Chief John Horvath said.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman being attended by the truck's driver and two others, Horvath added. The woman was later airlifted to an area hospital where she later died
Traffic was being diverted from the area as a result of the incident, Rockport Police said on Facebook. The driver of the box truck is cooperating with police as the incident remains under investigation.
